Desert Sun provides short-term shelter and support to women and children fleeing abusive situations. We provide all the basic necessities, free of charge. We can also help connect women escaping violence with legal and financial informational resources and referrals.

If you are being hit, pushed, called names, prevented from seeing family and friends, touched in ways you don’t like, or otherwise controlled, intimidated, or hurt, contact us. You have the right to safety and YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Our shelter is pet-friendly. We will allow you to keep your beloved pets with you on approval, or we can help make arrangements for them to be sheltered until you find a suitable living space.

Our shelter is a dry facility. We cannot accept anyone who is using drugs or alcohol.

    Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. Their primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
