The Canada–BC Housing Benefit (CBCHB) Program is a rent subsidy that helps individuals and families with low to moderate incomes afford safe, stable housing in the private rental market.
For women and families fleeing domestic violence, the CBCHB Program provides monthly financial assistance to help reduce housing costs and support the transition from unsafe living situations into secure, independent housing. The program is delivered through BC Housing in partnership with community organizations.
Desert Sun supports eligible clients by providing referrals, housing navigation, and ongoing support to help participants maintain stable housing and rebuild independence.
